Historic Downtown Prattville
In 1833, a man named Daniel Pratt, a native of New Hampshire, came to Alabama to build and sell cotton gins. He built an industrial village that bears his name, Prattville. While most southern towns feature a town square, Pratt's town showcases the original 1850 industrial buildings at heart and center of Prattville. In keeping with his New England heritage, Pratt established his village along the banks of beautiful Autauga Creek which provided water power for his many industries.

Fat Boy's Bar-B-Que Ranch
At Fat Boy's, we slow cook our meats over natural hickory and mesquite woods to accent the choice bar-b-que flavor of the South...the way it's supposed to be. Ask us about our catering, on-site cooking, in-house parties... Perfect for church, office, birthday, tailgate parties, and after rehearsal dinners.

Prattville Area Chamber of Commerce
When looking for a place to live, Prattville offers the BEST of everything! From affordable real estate, a progressive economy, to an almost perfect climate. It is no wonder why so many families and businesses are choosing Prattville as their home.

City of Prattville
Welcome to the City of Prattville, Alabama, a charming New England-style village nestled cozily in the heart of the Deep South. As the "birthplace of industry" in Alabama, Prattville's rich history spans the life and accomplishments of its founder Daniel Pratt, the great industrialist. Prattville features the Daniel Pratt Historic District, listed in the National Register of Historic Places, where some of the sites date back to the Civil War era. Today, Prattville is the seat of government in Autauga County, founded in 1818, thus making it "a county older than the state."
