Driving Directions: From Montgomery
  • Directions: Take I-65 North.
  • Take Exit 179 off 1-65.
  • Go west on Cobbs-Ford Road about 4 miles. (It will turn into Main St.)
  • Turn Right on Washington St.
  • Go straight at the two stop signs.
  • Washington dead ends and curves left into 5th St.
  • Smith-Byrd House is on the corner of 5th and Washington.
  • Driveway and Parking are on 5th Street side at the rear of the house.

  • Directions: Take I-65 South.
  • Take Exit 186 (Pine Level and Prattville Exit) off I-65.
  • Turn Right on US Highway 31 South.
  • Drive about 6 to 7 miles.
  • Turn Right onto Wetumpka St. (2nd traffic light. Chevron Station on the corner.)
  • Turn Right onto Washington St. (Wetumpka dead ends into Washington St.)
  • Smith-Byrd House is on the corner of 5th and Washington.
  • Turn Left at the next street. (This really is 5th Street.)
  • Driveway and Parking are on the 5th Street side at the rear of the house.
